TOP 5 WITH STEPHANE YANG

1285

You might find Stephane Yang holding down 225 Hudson Street – 5 days a week. And judging by the photos on his Facebook Page, you might also find him holding up a bar stool at Rhythm and Brews 7 days a week.

The Birdman aka Mac is busy wrapping up his Undergrad Degree in just under 7 years, running things for Boundless NY on the Westside and in his spare time interning at Complex Magazine. He’s big time now.

But before all the money, fame and the hoes. Stephane Yang was just a kid with a dream and a part time job at Rival Skateshop. Let him walk you through the Top 5 Clips that made him the Big Man he is today. Enjoy.

1. Anthony Van Engelen – Alien Workshop – Photosynthesis

“First skate video I ever watched. The whole video was sick but this has to be the best part”

2. Brian Anderson – Toy Machine – Welcome to Hell

“This whole video was great, they had amazing skaters from the beginning. Besides Anderson they had Elissa Steamer, Kerry Getz, Mike Maldonaldo, and Jamie Thomas to name a few”

3. Stefan Janoski – Expedition One – Alone

“Janoski was one of my first favorite skaters. I remember sending $2 to Expedition for stickers and they sent me back stickers and there first video. Needless to say I was syked and Expediton hooked it up”

4. PJ Ladd – PJ Ladd’s Wonderful Horrible Life

“I remember when this video came out. Ladd’s part blew my mind. East coast skating at its best”

5. Erik Ellington – Baker – Baker 3

“Ellington had the first part in the video and he killed it. Style for days. He floats off a kickflip noselide on a bench in the middle of his part. Has to be the best line”
