CLASSIC BUSHWICK :: TONYS PIZZA
Words and Photos by Tes UNO!!!
Growing up in Ridgewood, Queens meant shopping on, nearby Knickerbocker Ave, located in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn. Since moving back to Bushwick, I’ve been exploring my old digs.
Tony’s, located on Dekalb Ave and Knickerbocker Ave, is one of them classic, no non-sense Pizza Places. My moms would feed us at Tony’s between seasonal shopping.
This Pizza style came way before these trendy pizza spot s that have popped up with their silly amounts of topping options. Tony’s was always mad tasty and consistently delicious.
I gotta say, after all these years Tony’s Pizza is still a great neighborhood spot and I suggest you come check out. Always fresh, get the Sicilian slice. Don’t call it a square when I’m up in the building!
Lately, I get my Sicilian sliced in half followed by a classic, grape drink chaser! You can’t beat it, I promise. Tony’s gets busy at lunch so sometimes you gotta sit outside.
Brother Tes-Uno say’s:
Pizza for my lunch, pizza for my dinner, pizza pizza pizza, sauce dough and mozzarella!

THE KNITTING FACTORY: BROOKLYN
Photos By Tes Uno Words By Aaron Hansen
They’ve been doing construction all summer. But the Knitting Factory is about to open right down the street from Boundless.
The original location on East Houston Street on the Lower East Side, moved to 74 Leonard Street in TriBeCa 14 years ago. The Knit was one of the better places to catch a show.
By scaling its capacity size down, owner, Jared Hoffman says “We want to do something smaller and more radical and more revolutionary again.” “In very exciting ways what we want is a return to the old Knitting Factory,” he said.
They still have some work to do, but shows are slated to start September 9th.
Check out the schedule here and make sure when your headed to Brooklyn to see your fam at Boundless NY, that you check out and support The Knitting Factory.
